Why IELTS Test?
IELTS is the first step to proceed
for Student visa process. It is recognized for course
admission by universities in many countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA and UK and increasingly in Germany and wider Europe. IELTS is
also required as a proof of your language abilities for immigration to Australia, New Zealand and Canada. IELTS scores is a trusted and
valid indicator of ability to communicate in English. It also conforms to
the highest international standards of language assessment.
Who Should Take the IELTS Test?
IELTS is divided in to two modules:
1. Academic Training Module
2. General Training
Module
You can choose the Academic Training
Module if you want to go to university in an English speaking country or if you want to register with
the General Medical Council or Dental Medical Council in an oversea country like UK. If you wish to migrate to Australia, New
Zealand or Canada, opt for the General Training Module. To make sure that
you choose the module you need, to check with the institution you are
doing the test for. It is your solely discretion to choose the right
Module.
Formats of the IELTS:
IELTS uses a unique nine point
scoring system to measure and report test scores in a consistent manner -
wherever and whenever the test is taken. This scoring system is
internationally recognized and understood. Candidates are tested in Listening,
Reading, Writing and Speaking. All candidates take the same Listening and
speaking Modules. There is a choice between Academic and General Training in the Reading and writing Modules. The first three
modules: Listening, Reading and Writing must be completed in one day.
There is no break between the modules. The speaking module may be taken,
at the discretion of the test center, in the period of seven days before
or after the other three modules.
